When people ask me where I'm from, I always say Lancashire but I was about 15 when I left, and have recently been given my Bus pass...Mmmmm!
The bloke who taught me the four chords to "Oh Carol"(in about 1959) lived down the street from my Grandma, in Nelson and I've always held the belief that he might have known THAT bloke from The Hollies....but to be honest ,I'm not sure! Since then I've SEEN a lot, DONE a lot, LEARNED a lot and I'm still trying to turn all the worlds whisky into water......I'll get there yet!
Friends:
I've got some really good mates who help me out sometimes.They just happen to be WORLD CLASS gobharp players ,which is handy ! .... BEEDS & recently ALAN (HARP) ROBINSON ...awesome! The BBK track also features JOHN KEMP on lead guitar.
Influences:
Bells and Coke...Oh, you mean music! Erm...all the usual suspects plus Nellie Lutcher (grew up listening to "Hurry on Down to My Place Baby" on a 78) her vocal agility and phrasing...just the business..
